This lesson has various goals, such as:
Training transferable skills (Find the right people for the right questions / Have students appreciate small examples as illustrations of major historical shifts)
Stimulate digital literacy (Compare digital maps, find map in collection)
Avoid reproductive tasks (Students formulate questions on the basis of what they see)
Differentiate (Finding own questions on the basis of one's own vision)
Student as researcher (Students carry out tasks that reinforce independent thinking)
The technical challenge now is: how are we connecting our questions to existing systems of feedback (Brightspace in the case of Leiden University)?
